The Process

How it all happens

Our process has come from years of experience tying together our business process management experience with real world development knowledge.

  1. Speak with an expert, not a salesperson

    ≈ 1-2 Days

Reach out to us and speak directly with a CTO who will be able to provide a high level of analysis and bring past experiences to your problems with options you can trust. We’ll also be able to give you a ball park quote on cost and time to ensure expectations are in line with reality.

Worried about confidentiality? We don’t blame you; we’re about to create some dynamite solutions that’ll give you a razor-sharp competitive edge. You can check out our NDA on our contact page or provide one of your own for us to review.

  2. The formal proposal

    ≈ 1-2 Weeks

Now we’ve got a pretty good grasp of what you’re looking to do, we’re going to create a proposal that combines our standard project agreement with your specific scope so that everyone is on the same page.

The proposal will outline the following steps in clear terms as well as an initial scope and price summary.

  3. Functional & graphic design

    ≈ 1-2 Months

This is the step in which we go way into detail on your project. We’ll go through each page step by step and create a detailed specification. This is a very collaborative step, so be ready for a slew of meetings and deliberations.

The protoype design features fully designed mockups complimented with concepts and workflows written for a non-technical audience. Specifications enable all parties to understand the final app before a single line of code is written.

We’ll present you with the complete prototype for your final approval before we get started on the build phase of development. At this stage, you’ll be able to see exactly how your finished project will look and what it will be able to do. We will also present you with a full scope of the project including costs, to ensure that it is manageable and the project runs smoothly.

  4. The build

    ≈ 1-4 Months

The build process is where our seasoned development team really gets to work. You’ll be anticipating your final product and, understandably, anxious to start using it! So, we try to provide various small demos through the build process for you to try. That lets you see how things are shaping up and gives you a chance to offer feedback every step of the way. (It also keep you from going crazy wondering where we are in the development process.)

  5. Quality assurance

    ≈ 1-2 Months

Before we deliver the final build, we’ll test it thoroughly. Every new web software development has a few bugs to work out, and we work hard to make sure we’re the only ones who ever see them. By the time we deliver your project, it’ll be ready for public display.

  6. Launch!

    ≈ 1-3 Weeks

After our thorough testing process, it’s time to go live. We’ll hand it over to you for a final look-see and approval while we set up your hosting. Once you give us the nod, we’ll flip the switch and you’ll see your project live on your website or mobile device.

We’ll monitor your project live for a pre-determined period of time, but by this point, we don’t anticipate any problems. Your solution should be humming along beautifully, showing your clients and customers that you always provide the ultimate in innovation.

  7. Hosting & support

    Ongoing

To maintain a custom web application requires a team of specialists familiar with your business, your processes, your application and your hosting infrastructure. We provide support and maintenance to ensure your app is always up and running efficiently to keep you business process up to date and streamlined.

We will pro-actively address major issues but leave any other updates up to your direction. These services include, but are not limited to, issue investigation, code-level errors, hot-fixes, and security vulnerabilities.

Since these services generally are not required full-time, our support is billed hourly every month.
